Summer Music Program
This summer in late June, we all decided to go to a summer music program in Bryn Mawr, PA (suburb in Philly). It basically goes like this: You and your band sit in a practice room for 6 hours a day with a professional or college musician and work on old or new material and then later in the week, you and your band go to Morningstar Studios to lay down about 3 songs. It is probably the best experience a band could have. This program gave us the oppurtunity to record in a very expensive studio.

This program is run out of Harcum College, a junior college in Bryn Mawr. The good thing about it that it gives you a real taste of the music life; rehearsals, recording, and hard work. It teaches bands that rehearsals aren't always fun and sometimes that you have to work really hard. It teaches the band that the studio is no place to mess around. But it also shows you that music has it's benefits. This is definitely a program that all aspiring musicians should consider going to.
